“An Integrated Treatment Model for Treatment of Early Childhood Abuse is an approach to therapy that was developed to serve the needs of children participating in the Therapeutic Interagency Preschool (TIP) at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Children enrolled in the TIP program have varying traumatic histories (e.g. physical/sexual abuse, domestic violence, neglect) and most experience poly-victimization. Most of their therapeutic needs share a common thread. While no guide to the treatment of traumatized children could encompass all their psychological needs, this guide was developed as a framework for treatment based on the experience of psychiatrists, therapists, developmental specialists and staff involved in the TIP program.” – From introduction
